There is no safe form of FGM and no justification for harming girls’ bodies. On this International Day of Zero Tolerance for FGM, we stand firm: girls deserve protection, dignity, and bodily autonomy. In our latest blog, we break down what’s happening in The Gambia, including renewed efforts to challenge the law banning FGM, why this moment matters, and why repealing protections would put girls at serious risk.

Girls Talk Organisation proudly hosted the "Mind the Gap: Mental Wellness & Violence Awareness Forum" in collaboration with the Jenesse Center. This event served as a reflection of the impactful work that Girls Talk has accomplished globally while also representing a significant advancement in our commitment to supporting Black and Brown girls and young women in Los Angeles.

On May 4th, 2025 , Girls Talk Organisation marked seven years of advocacy, sisterhood, and steadfast commitment  to the rights and well-being of girls and young women. What began as a grassroots movement in The Gambia  grew into a trusted space for education, healing, and leadership, and in 2025, that journey reached a new chapter.
